Well, it's the start of a new semester and we're going to be starting up ACM events as soon as possible!
For people who are interested in learning about ACM or signing up, we will be having two "Kick-off" meetings:
Friday, September 12 @ 3:30 - 4:00 pm in Union 228
Monday, September 15 @ 4:00 - 4:30 pm in Union 228
Feel free to swing by and hear what we are all about! There will also be light refreshments for those who attend.
Well, we are about half way through the summer months, and the next school year is right around the corner!
As such, the Brockport | ACM chapter will be getting ready to start events and meetings nice and early this fall, so please look for us and feel free to contact us at any time!
If you have any ideas for club activities you would like to see or questions about our chapter, please post about it in our forums or email us!

The Brockport Chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery will be holding its annual nomination meeting Friday, April 11th at 3:45 p.m. in the Seymour Union, Room 228.
WHAT: Linux Install party
WHERE: Daily 212
WHEN: Friday, March 28th @ 3:30 p.m.
The Brockport | ACM will be hosting a Linux Install Party this Friday in Daily Hall (room 212). It will start at 3:30pm and continue long enough for everyone to install a working copy of Gentoo Linux.
ITS has been gracious enough to allow us to remain in Daily Hall until 8 pm, however the doors will still lock at 4:45 - 5:00, so please come before then if you wish to participate.
WHAT: Tim Mullins to Speak about NPO Development

Tim Mullins, a former student will be giving a talk this Friday about his experience working with the Mercy Outreach Center here in the area.
As a non-profit organization, another set of rules and techniques must be taken to maximize software development. Mr. Mullins will be talking about what he worked on, what worked, what didn't, and how the project went as a whole.
